The Red Fort which is also famous as lal Qila, and it is also one of the most famous historical monument of Delhi. it is located in Old Delhi, it was also the residence of the Mugal emperors ,and constructed on 12 May 1638(17th century), it's red wall's and unique architect are the main attention seeker of the visitors.

Over 1.3million people visit red fort every year,in which almost 0.7million of the population are not the residence of India , and 0.6million people are the residence of India, the numbers of visitors are increasing day by day.

The colour theme of the Red Fort is basically Red and White , Ustad Ahmad lahori was the architect of Red Fort, King Shah jahan ordered to construct it when he decided to shift the India's capital from Agra to Delhi (in 1638's). its is situated near river Yamuna , the wall's of Red Fort are aslmost 30meter's high ,the Main gate of Red Fort is called as The LAHORI GATE.

Lahori Gate of The Red Fort

Lahori Gate is the West gate of Red Fort and also the main entrance of the Fort.it's one of the most Famous part/Location of the Fort, It's named as Lahori gate because it's Facing the City of Pakistan named as lahor.It's made up of Red sandstone. The main reason of it's popularity is The Flag Hosting on Independence day (15 August) by Prime Minister of India. after entering the lahori gate You will be able to see the market of Red Fort popularly known as Chatta Chawk.

line ,which is fully coverd . this Market is Inspired by the Peshawar Market of pakistan. Basically this Market was bulid for the Women's or the Queens(Shehzadi's, Begam, Rani's) of the palace,. So, they need not to go oput from the Palace.

Rang Mahal of Red Fort

Rang Mahal which is also known a Imtiyaz Mahal, which means the Palace of Colours. It was the first Palace buld by the Shah Jahan for his queens in Red Fort ,a Canal Flowas under this Palace which was called Nahr-i-Bihisht, which make the Palace Cool in Summer's. The inner Part of the Palace is called Sheesh Mahal because it's walls were designed with Gems, Diamonda's, Mirror's, silver, Gold, etc.

Khas Mahal of Red Fort

Khas Mahal is the special Palace fot the Mugals, it inclued a Sitting room called Baithak, a wardrobe called Tosha-Khana, a Bedroom called Khwabgah and a chamber for counting Beads called Tasbih-khana.

The two main Halls of Red Fort are:-

Diwan-i-khas :-This hall was specefically for the Guest's 

Diwan-i-aam :- It was also know as Hall of audiance, this hall was specifically for the general public   also known as  Tasbih-khana.

Moti Masjid of Red Fort

Moti masjid is situated opposet to Khas Mahal, build by Aurangzeb (7th Mugal Emperor) in 1659( 17th Century). Because he wanted a placer to pray near his bedroom. 

Museum of Red Fort

  • it is the museum presenting the objects used in Mugal Emnperor for there Daily and occasional bases. it's located in the Mumtaz Mahal in the Red Fort. there are six galleries, each one of a huge and rich collections.  
  • Kranti Mandir:- It's a complex of Museum's inside the Red Fort, it is also called as thge Treassure of Indian History.It is rercently open museum by The Prime Minister Shrei Narendra Modi on January 2019.

    there are four museum's in Kranti Mandir :- 

1. Azaadi ke Diwane Museum:- this Museum is dedicated to those unsung heroes, who may not have made it to the history books but have played a huge role in the independence of India, there is a giant picture of Bharat Mata in this museum because it was the first visualization of Bharat Maata also known as Mother Idia.

2. Yaad-e-Jallian Museum:- Which is a magnificant engineering maevel ,who gives visitors a virtual experience jallianwala Bagh, this place is a tresure of knowledge about the incident Jallianwala Bagh, So, people can Trebute hear for this incedet. this place also shows the sacrifices of the soldiers killed in World War 1.

3. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Museum:- this Museum documents the grate stories of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, from his chilhood till the struggle of Freedom.

 4. History

after Mugals the Fort was under Marathas and in 1803 Marathas loss the battle between the East India Company, East India Company ruled until the late 1850's.after the Britishers Red Fort was under Indian Government control 

currently its under The Dalmia Bharat Group's control they adopted the Red Fort on 27 September 2017.
